Astro Boy Blog

This was a gift from a friend. AstroBoy stands at 7 inches from the bottom of the base. I don't think this was produced by Tezuka Productions, but must have been licensed out to another manufacturer. Date unknown.

These figures were a gift in 2002 from E's Gallery in Osaka, Japan, near the famous Dotonbori-dori area. AstroBoy stands at just under 22" and Uran at just under 18". They're cast in plaster and hand painted and are quite heavy. E's Gallery sold original and limited edition art. They represented me in the Osaka area and sold a lot of my paper sculptures!
